There was no competition on Sunday because the course was closed following heavy rain on Saturday night.

Friday December 18: Friday Seniors

Saturday and Sunday December 19 and 20: 14 holes Singles.

Friday Seniors: The Friday Seniors began Friday December 4 and will continue every Friday for the winter season. The tee will be reserved for senior members from 10am to 12 noon. Competition over 15 holes. Play from the green markers. Members €5. Entries will be taken in the pro shop. Return your scorecard to the normal score box just inside the door of the men's lockerroom.

50/50 Members' Draw: With the opening up of the club following the lockdown because of Covid-19 the fortnightly 50/50 Members' Draw in aid of the club development fund resumed on Friday December 11. The winner was Matt Hanly who won €160. To enter simply put €5 in the envelope supplied and place it in draw box in the Pro Shop. The winner will receive 50% of the pot. The draw will take place every second Friday. The prize grows with every ticket sold. Please support. We hope to have the next draw on Friday January 1.

Bar and restaurant: We are delighted that the restaurant and bar re-opened on Tuesday December 8. A big welcome e to the new caterers, Dave and Toby Morgan, and we wish them the very best and every success. Members should come in and look around and then sample the culinary delights on offer. Your support would be very welcome and very much appreciated. Dave and Toby will be operating the restaurant and bar under the Covid-19 guidelines laid down by the Government. We hope you enjoy your renovated club house and go on to make the 19th hole a regular part of your round of golf.

Social Fund: It has been decided to roll over the social fund to next year. So any member who has anything left in their social fund for 2020 can spend it in the bar and restaurant in 2021.

Sympathy: The sympathy of the club is extended to the family of Christy Toohey who was a valued member of the club for the long number of years. Christy made a considerable contribution to various winning teams with club during his time playing golf.

We would like to congratulate incoming Lady Captain Marese Dolan Hutchinson on the presentation of her 2021 Lady Captain Pin. This presentation is available to view on the Nenagh Golf Club Facebook page. We wish her all the best and thanks to Lucy Sanders, Mary R Ryan and all the committee members for their work during the year.
