Three players with 41 pts shared the first three prizes on Wednesday with Eddie Loughnane’s back nine of two over par with birdies at 10th and 11th taking top spot. Eamon Byrne’s highlight was his birdie at the 14th while Paul Collison’s seven on the par five 12th cost him first spot. Collwyn Martin’s level par round included three birdies on the back nine. Malachy Hoolan is in the prizes for the second week in a row.

The Club Singles final will be played this week. In the final Willie Harty will play Willie Lawlor, who beat George Hayes on the 19th on Sunday. Well done to the organisers Gerry O’Rourke and Tom Kennedy who got the this match play competition finished on schedule for presentation on Captain’s Prize night. Club Fourball: This competition is also at the final stage. John Hickey and David Hickey will meet Jim Gleeson and Pat Hogan.

Beechwood Cup is down to the last four with Vivian Dooley meeting Willie Ryan and Paul Brennan playing Martin Shorley.

The Club Seniors is at the semi-final stage with Matt Hanly to play Noel Ryan and Dinny Ryan to meet Pat Gleeson to meet to decide this competition.
