Your 2016 subscription is now due and members are asked to submit as soon as posible. This will ensure that nesscessary work needed to keep the course in top condition can continue.
Date Of Birth and Email address Members please ensure that the club has correct details for all correspondence. If you have an email that you are not accessing please inform the office so that it can be updated or removed. Any member who has no email will receive correspondence by post.
Open Team of Three: Our Open Team of Three competition commenced and will run until March 2016 with a list of fantastic prizes worth over €4,000. It is kindly sponsored by Horan Golf Centres (Nenagh, Birr, Moate, Dunmurray Springs). Members can play Monday to Saturday, visitors can play any day excluding open days. Two team will qualify each month with a grand final in May 2016. Prizes: 1st 3 €400 Vouchers; 2nd 3 €250 Vouchers; 3rd 3 €150 Vouchers; 4th 3 €100; 5th 3 €75 Vouchers. Competition fee will be €10 each for members and €20 each for visitors with re-entry in the same month €7 for members and €15 for visitors. Play off three-quarters of your handicap. Each player who enters will be included in a draw for prizes of €150, €100 and €50 at the end of the competition. You may book on-line or contact the Pro Shop 067 33260 or 087 2132241.
Nenagh Ladies Golf Club Notes 15.02.16
Congratulations to Ann Atkinson playing off 29 who won the monthly January competition with a great score of 51 points. In second place Maura Byrne playing off 22 with 47 points. Despite the inclement weather there was a large entry for the January competition and we congratulate all those who braved the elements to compete.
The Spring League
The Spring League is now at a half-way point and despite the poor weather conditions our lady members have braved the elements to play in the 12 Hole Competition. The following are the standings of the teams at the half way point:
In first place Team J with 89 points.
In second place Team C with 84 points.
In third place Team I with 81 points.
In joint fourth and fifth place Teams D and K with 78 points.
In joint sixth and seventh place Teams H and L with 77 points.
Therefore all to play for the next two weeks and we would encourage ladies to play as often as possible. The top six teams go through to a 4 Ball Match Play which will be played on Saturday the 5th or Sunday 6th March.
Golf Quiz
On Monday the 29th of February next at 7.30 pm. at the Clubhouse, the Ladies Committee are organising a fun evening Golf Quiz based on the rules of golf. We would invite as many members as possible to attend but in particular our new members and beginners. Please pass the word around and encourage as many member as possible to attend.
